COMING UP - ROUND EARTH TEST

flat-earth-stock.jpg

On 4/29/18, the Independent Investigations Group (The IIG) will investigate claims made by "Flat-Earthers" that water always lays flat and "never" curves around a ball or any other shape. They do not believe gravity exists, or the basic shape of the earth is a sphere.

The test we are designing will use three or four different methods for determining if water does indeed lay flat on a surface without curving, or if the Earth is indeed a ball shape and the water curves around to follow the contour of the planet.

We will be traveling to The Salton Sea on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 and will be setting up our various experiments from one (West) shore to the other (East) shore which is calculated to be 9.6 miles. We will sleep overnight in local motel(s) and then in the early morning hours on Sunday, April 29th, we will conduct our experiments. The early hour of the morning will be designed so we do not have interference from heat waves off the surface of the water, as well as having the sun rising in the East so it will illuminate the targets on the West shore more clearly.
