For the 1st time in a long while, We Got You Media brought a unique, authentic exhibition of Chinese Art to Hollywood. This time it was an exhibition of sculptures, made by Yang Jingjing.
Madam Yang comes from Shanghai, she became interested in stones when she was a little kid. At the opening of the exhibition she shared with us that: she was different from other kids. They played with dolls or other toys, and I played with stones. She got her inspiration from her father who was sculptor, but then turned to be lawyer, willing to have stable life and provide his family with all they needed.
Despite realities and wish of her parents to obtain a regular secure job, Yang Jingjing didn’t give up her passion and dream. She continues to develop and work on new sculptures.

Yang Jingjing, in order to create her sculptures, travels all around China and looks for beautiful stones. Each stone reminds her of something: praying Buddha, dolphins, etc. She uses minimum effort when does carving and minimum interruption into natural forms, which makes her style unique and sculptures beautiful and notably different from others.
