In our exclusive interview Cynthia told us her unbelievable story. She went through hardships and challenges to be the best and not just once, she had to hold and prove her titles over and over. Cynthia did everything possible and impossible to be the best: she trained hard, she took gymnastics and ballet to improve her skills. After falling in love with Chinese martial arts (first time it was the Eagle Claw), she went to China to learn with real professionals. Cynthia trained with professional wushu (chinese martial arts) team in Sichuan and fell in love with Chinese culture. She learned much more than kicking and punching, because wushu is much more, its a complex of studies. Cynthia said that she was lucky to have one of the best coaches to teach her, and she learned many important details such as even " it is not healthy to drink cold water especially during or after training, no matter if it's cold or hot outside". She learned to drink hot water or tea to balance natural conditions of the body,.. etc

Being successful in Chinese martial arts and winning world championships pushed her into filming career. After winning another title she met legendary Corey Yuen (元奎). He changed the script specially for Cynthia and invited her to be in his film. That was her first film in Hong Kong which became very successful worldwide.

In our interview Cynthia also shared her story of breaking thru into the Hollywood. She got her first commercial again, thanks to being a champion. She was on the cover of the magazine and was noticed by director, who invited her. It was a role in a KFC Commercial. Later on Cynthia worked on many other projects and, as she says, everything was thanks to being Champion in Martial arts. She didn't need agent or manager.

Talking about challenges and hardships, Cynthia shared with us that she faced them while training and could move on forward thanks to changing her attitude or just using principles of "Tai Ji" (tai chi) and being flexible. Being "the lady dragon" she had to prove to Hollywood and the whole world that woman can be the lead in the film, which was different from traditional point of view.

It is incredible how harmonious is Cynthia : being "the lady dragon" and the real deal, she is very reserved and calm, her house (where she kindly invited us to) is filled with pure energy. As Cynthia shared with us: she tries to keep it in Zen atmosphere, but unfortunately she travels a lot and doesn't have chance to spend much time at home.

Right now Cynthia works on few projects, one of them is the Documentary about her life. Her team work on it and soon the preproduction stage shall begin. "It should be a very dynamic, motivational and motivational film. I'll share a lot about my life experiences and details which nobody knew..." - says Cynthia.

We will definitely stay tunes and wait for more news about her upcoming projects.
